Objective: Enhance mental health literacy and well-being among 1000 FESWs through a peer-to-peer approach, and measure its effectiveness on mental well-being and its impact on other health outcomes, while ensuring the findings are effectively disseminated and utilized.
Outputs:
- Trained 7 FESWs with lived experience of mental health challenges as a psychosocial counsellors to provide mental health and psychosocial support.
- Oriented 1007 FESWs on common mental health issues, screened and measured improvements using validated mental health toolkits, and followed up on each client’s progress in mental health literacy, coping skills, self-esteem, mental health status, and HIV and SRH health-seeking behaviours.
- Established self-help support groups for improved mental health outcomes ensuring sustainability.
- Shared the result with relevant stakeholder of HIV programs like NCASC, UNAIDS, CCM members, National networks and NGOs.
